Mother Teresa (original name: Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu) was born in Yugoslavia on August 27th, 1910.
At the age of twelve was to help the poor. Agnes decided to train for missionary work. She came to India and joins the Sisters of Loretto, an Irish community of nuns with a mission in Kolkata. In 1928 she took her initial vows as a nun.
In 1946 she devoted herself to working among the poor in the slums of Kolkata. She had no money so she started an open-air school for homeless children. The church, organizations and other authorities gave her monetary help. Then she start her own order The Missionaries of Charity' to love and take care of those persons whom nobody was prepared to look after. The Missionaries of Charity today over one thousand sisters and brothers, many of whom have been trained as doctors, nurses and social workers.

The Missionaries of Charity' has also spread worldwide and undertakes relief work for a number of countries in Africa Asia and South America.
Whole the world recognized Mother Teresa's work has been throughout the world and she has received a number of awards and mother also get the  Nobel Peace Prize at 1979, Pope John XXIII Peace Prize at 1971, Bharat Ratna at 1980 and many more. 
The last of her life Mother Theresa had heart deices and she was tired. On 13 March 1997 Teresa resigned as head of the Missionaries of Charity, and she died on 5 September
Teresa was beatified on 19 October 2003, and was known by Catholics as "Blessed".
